Thirty years in genomics, precision diagnostics, and clinical translation — from Portugal’s first oncogenomics laboratory to CE-marked IVD platforms and €8M raised. I am currently Managing Partner of HealthTech Qatar, building the execution infrastructure for precision medicine in the Gulf: a diagnostics manufacturing platform, a precision oncology venture, and the capital bridge between European biomedical science and Gulf health ambition.

I write to think – a first nonfiction book on founding in precision diagnostics, a second in progress on the Gulf’s sovereign health infrastructure challenge. Separately, under the pen name J.P. Leal, I write fiction. I operate between Lisbon, Barcelona, and Doha.
